Did better in 2010
Finished the Y Tri in 1:17:38, and placed 25th out of 37. Next year, I plan on finishing under 1:05:00. My swim is going to have to be under 7 minutes; bike under 29 minutes; and run under 30 minutes. It's very doable.

age 59 and putting the 57 Chevy back together
I have worked out for 6 months and now am at a stage where i can work out daily.

I am about 30 lbs overweight and working on it. Was 45

I jog 2.5 mi per day walk 1.5 per day three times a week.
I work out in the weight room twice a week. Light weights and many reps. Sit up's leg lifts, arm pulls.

Looking to do my first 5k July 4. Any suggestions to get better?

Back in the saddle
It sure is easy to lay off and let the daily demands get in the way of a good run. I am determined to run a minimum of 4 times a week!
