Underwater Hockey Training Ideas
Any Ideas on training underwater hockey players, I do have some experience but I'm always looking for new ideas. I'm also wiling to give up some of my methods if you interested.
I have been playing since 1984 and coaching juniors since 2000

Beginner at 52 and feeling it
All along i have being saying that i needed exercise but as the saying goes the body was kinda willing but the mind was weak very weak - for many years. I joined a couple of gyms over the years but after a couple of months i stoped going and left. My schedule, commuting and distance just made it difficult and exercising at home was impossible, i needed something with a goal to get me interested and keep my interest going. A couple of weeks ago i was watching the marathon and sure enough the lights went on - i watched people my age and older running so it popped into my head thats it thats what i have to do - haveing done two marathons 20 years ago when i was young and very fit i thought how on earth was i going to do this but i knew then that this is what i have to do. So here i am 2 weeks into training and feeling every minute of it. I have increased my distance gradually and am now up to 2.46 miles at approx 9 min miles - total run 23 mins.

HEALTHY LIVING STARTS HERE!

Todays Exercise:

4.98mile run - Route 1
10 x 10 sets of Push Ups
10 x 10 sets of Sit Ups

Food:

Banana and strawberry smoothie
Banana
Tinned sweetcorn
Cereal bar

Notes:

Running was hard work with being out of it for so long! Next week, I plan to do a little bit every day and build up to full fitness.
Food plan starts tomorrow.
