Chris

Okay, I'm looking to buy a cheap road bike. I have never had a lot of luck on 10 speeds and sadly I am considering going to Walmart or someplace to get one. Part of it is that I want to get into triatholon sprints at a very affordable price and part is that I am barely scraping by. Anyone have any ideas of where I could get a decent bike cheap?

hi Chris

I would suggest that you can get a good reasonable bike at Walmart these days. I would also suggest that you visit a local bike shop that specializes in bikes for the road and get yourself measured to find out what size frame would best suit you before heading back to Walmart. You can also find information on the net about how to measure your self for the perfect fit for a bike. Personally I have 24 speed on my bike which is a cluster of 8 gears on the rear and 3 on the front chain ring. Mst of the time I use only a few gears in the middle of the range but when I hit the big hills where I started riding again I use everyone of those 24 gears just to get up and down the climbs
